Thanks Josh - all the hard yards paid off, looks good, sounds good & goes even better
The guys that built my interior were absolute legends and managed to transfer all my ideas, and more, into the car, i still love it (still has the new leather smell too )

Ok, should probably update this a little, as there's a few changes set in motion

Big Block 496 & T400 have been sold

The dark side lingers - in the form of an LSA

So much extra work involved with fitting one of these bad boys, but should be worth it

Other additions to be upgraded;
TR6060 6 speed (OEM Magnum) + McLeod RST twin plate
Also hoping to finally graft the HSV AP Racing brakes up front

Being a local agent for Speedtech it's natural that I'll be utilising the conversion kits for LS & T56 - so all the bits are there minimising mods (and swearing)

Wasn't all peaches, there's a blemish on my beautiful flat firewall where it lightly kissed her as it let go clearing an engine mount
Should sit low enough to be concealed by the block though

Nice work mate! Just a note with the TR6060, theyb dont use an input shaft like a regular T56, they use a 3 bolt flange.

The only way around this from what i have seen is buy using a driveshaft with a CV joint.

I'm not sure if Final drive etc are able to build something like this or if ill have to source it from the states.

Hey Jake, been sussing out my options on this one for a while now
Plenty options ex-USA, but will also chat with Final Drive to see if they've attempted any of these yet
Will hang my box in place first to see what shifter location options I have - remote shifter (there's a lot of different OEM ones out there) or pick up on the direct shift housing

Awesome to hear that final drive can build those CV driveshafts. I'm also using a TR6060

That car with the driveshaft photos above ( 68 camaro ) used a shifter thats mounted directy to the box I believe, although it was a bit of a hack job.

Can't wait to see it in action Justin!

Yep, this was what gave me a push for the TR6060 (was Moondog68 build or someone like that) - although will use a trans tunnel mod on mine
Custom shifter should hopefully be able to locate it just sweet
I'll take pics along the way of trial and tribulation

Small update - engine bay is ready for engine and box to be dropped in - after 2 weeks of 12-17hr shifts it was nice to get a long weekend off, and spend some quality time with my lil buddy stripping down the 69 front end

Now am just waiting on my SpeedTech parts ex_US to arrive, just waiting for a TR6060 cross member (along with all conversion gear & clutch) .. also got an LSA Controller kit ready & waiting to be installed - cheers Russ for the heads up

Now I just need to source a fuel system - thinking of Aeromotive Phantom dual in-tank pump setup, so that she'll be capable for some improvements along the way - just gotta do a lil due diligence to make sure it'll be happy with the LSA
