Thanks for the very kind words Al. I do appreciate it. Coming from you, after what you achieved with your car, it is a real compliment.

Hoping to get the engine painted this weekend along with all of the "insides" of the panels (I don't know the proper painter's term for that) Edges of the guards, under the boot lid and hood etc.. Once they're done, we bolt the panels all back together, then into the booth.

Update

Got the engine painted, dash and rear parcel shelf/rear window panel painted over the last couple of nights. It looks glossy only because it was still wet when I took the photos. It will dull off to a satin finish.

Will get the edges of all other panels done this weekend, then assembly next week in preparation for paint.

Next is installing the radiator support panel, then the boys can remount the panels after "edging" or painting the underside and inside of panels etc.

Making some progress

Thanks guys. Al, I'm super happy with the firewall. I thought we'd scratched it putting the engine in but it was only dust thank god. have to come up with a way to get the throttle cable to the engine bay without drilling a hole in it but we'll have to see. I'm trying to think of a way to put it through near where the wiring block comes through or even further in behind the left front guard.

Update - More paint

So, the boys got the panels "edged" last week and I shot a few photos. The photo of the inner fender brace in the sun only just shows how the colour looks in the sun. In reality the metallic really shows through.

Now we'll reassemble the car, get the gaps correct, then off to the booth for paint.

Met Darren today and was great to actually talk to him about his Camaro, looking really good so far but he needs to tell you what's happening soon and that firewall looks very nice love it.

Hi Luke, no not my Healey unfortunately as it is a gorgeous car. It is another customer's car. There have been three of them in the workshop over recent times.
