Thermo fan for 80 camaro

Hi Guys

Just about to order a new thermo fan setup for my 80 camaro, noted on this forum some members mentioned using AU falcon but others used BA falcon.
Just wondering which is the best fit for my model.
Understand a little trimming is required but not sure on the difference between AU and BA.

Also, about to order a new radiator but wondering whether to go 3 row or 4 row. Engine will be mild rebuild and the old 3 row worked quite well.

Thanks

I fitted AU fans to my GTO. Ran noticeably hotter than my trusty factory clutch fan. AU fans came off the same day, now gather dust, & the factory fan continues to work fine...

Mondeo fans are another option, the overall shroud is a bit smaller than the Falcon ones so they might fit without trimming. Thought I found a thread on another forum a while back with all of the various sizes on it, but can't find it now, Google is probably your friend here. Ebay can also be a good source of dimensions.

Mondeo fans on my Gremlin radiator, the Gremlin one is a little taller than HQ I believe:

I just setup my new radiator with a BF big single - old radiator was a BF dual fan setup and cooled awesomely but the big single being a 2 speed fan you can slow start it without the current spike and it'll use about 10A on the slow speed and around 20A on the high speed. Works awesome!

Nice.
Do you have dimensions (width, height & depth)?

Nah I don't, but this Mustang forum thread should help with dimensions - https://www.mustang.org.au/forum/ind...?topic=20888.0

Thanks.
So looks like dimensions (approximately are 455mm (High) x 670mm (Wide) x 130mm (deep)
Looks a bit big for my 68 Camaro radiator.

Running UA twin fans on my 69 Camaro,...just needed a small trim on the shroud,..n a couple of mounting brackets. went from strugging in traffic to awsome.......just dont use Davies Craig fan controllers,.....theyre crap..

Just fitted AU Radiator /fan/AC Condensor in my 64 F100 project,....Auto electrician tells me that they start together, n run 12V power trought one fan, then the other so its running 6V each n slow speed...then when its hot its kicks in n 12V go to both fans....weve wired them to do the same in the F100, but were using the Windsor n ECM to fire them...

Im about to do a freshen up on the Camaro shortly n itll geta tweek to do the same....
