Hmmm.... Tempting. Shame I'm so desperate for a tune that it cuts out under full throttle. Mmmm...

Cuts out completely or ..?
Do you have fuel pressure gauge that you can see at WOT?
What are your plugs gapped at?

"Ran Out Of Talent " switch is working correctly

Said switch fails often on Mustangs at "Cars&Coffee" events.

Shane;
- No time or money to get car to somebody for tuning, but will sort in next month or two ready for Spring. At least it's running! Have fun BTW!

Steve;
- Yes can cut out completely when I lift off *after* WOT (Yeah, I know not an issue for the 1st 400m at the strip
- Only fuel pressure gauge is under bonnet
- Gaps set at standard per always (forget number now)

That gauge is for setting idle pressure only. Nothing "on the fly" can be learnt with it.
It doesn't sound like ignition. It sounds like you're either running out of fuel (I'd then expect stumbling, nosing over, lean backfires etc) or your throttle blades are set too far closed where they shut off the idle circuit when closing, and maybe with mixture screws possibly set too lean as well.
How many turns out are the idle mixture screws set? 1-1/2 turns is typical but +/- 1/2 a turn OK.
Incorrect front float level could be another reason which would result in rich WOT, but then flooding when closing the blades.

Anyway, some easy stuff for you to check.

Thanks Steve. Very true is some super basic things there, but at this stage I'm happy to throw the keys and some coin at somebody else given my track record & focus being elsewhere

Speaking of track, how'd you go yesterday Shane?

The day was shortened with sh!tty weather, so traction wasn't great (yeah i know Ben )
more annoying was they had issues with the timing system, one lane only had timing to 660', the other lane i don't believe it was accurate
based on previous times at Calder and what the slip said to the 660' mark i was about 2/10th behind my previous of 10.2 and 5mph down on my 134mph
still i enjoyed the day, only got 3 runs in, but picked up a trophy and some cash for "Crowd favourite"........... happy days
