67 Camaro Ute

Overhaulin have just started the final ever season and in the latest episode have built a 67 Camaro ute out of a 1982 El Camino. Interesting build, what do you think?

Not for me, I think some things should be left the way they are.....
For me it's hmmmmm "not balanced" does that make sense?

Big effort but!

Yeah, I guess you can let it slide, one dud out of a couple dozen is pretty good.

It is interesting but some ideas should just stay on paper or as a rendering. (IMHO)

It kinda looks like a backyard build. Something you would expect to see in our build section, not a Foose build

Front looks like a Camaro
The rear looks like crap. The lights in the tail gate just don't cut it.

X2. Why bother to have it look like a Camaro in the front and some jap thing in the rear. Achieved nothing.

I actually like the style of those later model El Caminos, except for the gigantic chunky bumpers they have. If they were going to customise it, maybe make it into an Oldsmobile or even a Buick (not a Pontiac - that's been done before) of a similar age. In my view, the '60s front doesn't jive with the rest of the car and like others have said, the tail lights just don't work at all.

I remember a guy in my town(in Canada) 35+ years ago took a rusted out 67 camaro and turned it into a ute. It looked better than this and he was just a kid f88king about. The later model lines of the El Camino quarters are to square and slab sided.

Foose usually gets it right but this isn't - especially the rear.
