I contacted Ben, all good i just need to sort out a money payment and he'll be into it. It's been Hectic week on site so I didn't get an opportunity to sort it out. re the body work, i'd love to get my hands dirty on that front but the guys at R&S are doing a great job. if I only had the space and time! Thats another project underway, the mancave! i've had planning approval and i'm just waiting on the engineering drawings to be finalised so i can submit to the council.

the guys had been busy in the last week, as expected a small rust hole makes way to a larger issue underneath. Richo finished the firewall, tacked on the door skin, fixed the dash on both sides and lower bulk head.

Cheers Lyns, had a look at your 69 while I was at Banjup motors, very nice, can't wait to get to that stage. yes Rog re all the usual spots but nowhere near as bad as some I,ve seen online. It's amazing how much you don't see, the radiator support had some rust in it, the more you dig the more you find, in the end we unstitched the lower half sand blasted the internals, POR15 then welded back together, I had to toss up buying a new one which would have meant waiting over a week or fix the original and keep moving ahead with repairs. I,m thinking it may be ready in about another week to bring home which puts me in an awkward spot, bloody engineer has not come through with the plans for the man cave, been delaying for several weeks now so I may need to park it at my uncles for a bit.

Well i finally bit the bullet after much debate and the big block has now gone, very hard decision but it came down to the amount of drive time in the car, my intention is to get it out and use it as much as possible.
I have now purchased an L98 and TR6060, Plans are now underway to upgrade cam, lifters, pushrods and rockers, heads will get port matched only, new midrise manifold with 2 x 700cfm throttle bodies and install an underdrive balancer. I'm also tossing up whether to buy a try trac pulley kit or just purchase brackets for the corvette install which moves the alternator to clear the steering box.

Heres a pic of the throttle body setup, only problem is Holley are yet to release the manifold that suits the LS3 rectangle port heads, they have said it will happen later in the year so i'm hoping to pre-order one.

Work on the body front has come to a halt for 3 weeks while the guys focus on another job, panel work should recommence in another week then it will be the final push to complete the front end.

ditch the big block??? ... is there a doctor in the house? haha

I don't actually mind the look you're running on the LS motor - the twin throttlebody setup looks a treat, the manual will also be a nice touch for the street (not to mention you'll get a lot further between stops at the servo )
