Hail Storm Damage..

Melbourne 3:15pm..
Just wondering who had their muscle cars caught in that?
Many hail stones the size of golf balls and a nice lump on my forehead too.

I've never seen the black used on the scale before.

The Statesman copped a few hits too.

..but check out this massive dent on the fender!

Still pretty big 1/2 hour after they landed..

All easy fixes providing the underside of the panels can be accessed.
No filler or paint should be needed if the right guy knows what he's doing.

Yeah my daily driver(Honda CRV) got caught on eastlink in between Ferntree Gully Road and Burwood Highway, everyone scrambled to get under the George Street Bridge..so I guess we were able to stop a few golf balls hitting the car.. however there are a few good size dents on the roof.. and about 10 smaller ones on the bonnet. Gonna ring the dent guy and see what can be fixed, or cheaper to be replaced (eg bonnet). We just kept saying glad we werent in our classic cars. Hope everyone classics were tucked away safely. Here is a pic of us hiding under the bridge.. the hail you see on the road is actually the large hail that was smashed up as it hit the ground. Amazing.

I was working on the Belair in Ringwood... Got a text from a mate asking if the storm had it.

I looked up... Thought oh sh*t as the clouds just came rolling in. I pushed the chev back into the storage unit, moved the Honda under and an awning and waited. Well coped some heavy rain and a few small hail stones.

But on the drive home, the aftermath was amazing! Dinged cars, stripped trees and water bloody everywhere!

Looks like I got off pretty easy.
Imagine all the insurance claims and perhaps we can expect updated re-writen policies in the mail now excluding hail damage..
Well, maybe not but remember after Sept 11, when almost all insurance companies world-wide re-wrote their policies to exlude damage by terrorists?
