So 2 1/2 years later and I still don't have my car and to say I am frustrated is an understatement. The guy doing the work is as nice as pie to your face but when Im back in Aust he is very hard to contact.
Im not worried about never getting the car but I feel I have been more than patient. My predicament is, its not like I can just drop in and pick it up on a trailer although I am tempted to.
Don't know what to do, I suppose I am just venting as im over the whole thing. Tempted to sell it as soon as it gets here as it has not been an enjoyable experience as it should have been.
Rant over hopefully be here before X-mas just not sure which one.

Wow, sorry to hear about your situation Mark, Is there someone over there that you know that can apply some pressure?

The same thing is happening to my mate's Chevelle in Texas.
They only drip feed the work at best, until he is able to swing past the US and put the pressure on.
He's now pulling the car out and moving it closer to his in-laws place (his father in law is a trainspotter for anything chevelle)

Just got to put the pressure on them, or move it elsewhere - some guys just lack motivation, especially if they're not having someone watching over them

Tuff break though, hope it pans out well.

Well as luck should have I received an e-mail last night with a bit of an update, the biggest problem he is having now is fitting the new dash under the steering column, but that is now all sorted. Not holding my breath but I will see.
No one to check really but flights are cheap and gives me another reason to go to Sema again, offcourse hopefully will be done by then.

Sooo been a while, unfortunately I'm still waiting for this car to be done but there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
Back home from Sema and this is the latest progress on the build of my car.
You can see in the last picture where the tru turn is going to hit the pipes so it has to be modified, that is probably the biggest thing to correct from here on in.
Cheers Mark.

This is looking amazing, I can only imagine your frustration on how long this is taking & the fact that you can’t easily go visit to do inspections or hold a torch to the guys to speed up the progress.

I do have one question if I may…. I have been looking at a lovely Thunderbird in the US but like your building it’s a RestoMod as the US guys would call it. What’s the process you need to go through to ensure that you can get such a modified car registered here in Australia? I’d hate to get approval to bring a car in that then needed a lot of engineering approvals here, given that my understanding is that they can’t be guaranteed really until they sight the car.
