Not Quite Muscle, AMC Gremlin

Picked this up the other day:

Little rough around the edges (bit of an understatement), but that is a 360 in there:

Has been converted to RHD, not sure if it will stay that way:

First job it to try and get in running.

"Not Quite Muscle" you say..?
I think the power to weight of this little beauty would embarrass a lot of "Muscle Cars".
I've always wanted one of these.. F-ing Love it. Well done.

Another similar car that I'd love is a Pacer. The same as Garth's in Wayne's World.

Trying to get it running at the moment, the drag strip is the short term plan, road use is probably further down the track.

Saw the very car on eBay USA a couple years back Steve. Don't know what it sold for but it didn't seem to be really high. Would have loved to have bought it myself.
I didn't even know they shoehorned v8s into these things. Cool little beasty.

Biggest engine option from the factory was the 304 V8, most would have been 6 cylinder and that how this one left the factory. The good thing with the AMC V8s is they all share the same block, so a 360 or 401 will bolt straight into a 304 car.
