Thanks for all the comments.

Getting a bit more serious about the Nostalgia Drags coming up in in April. Bought a Driveshaft loop a few months ago and finally got around to fabricating it up to fit between the exhaust. Mounts to the X member with tabs and can remove with a few bolts if required. Its all 6mm plate as per regs.

and picked up a lovely pair of MT ET streets second hand from Graham, thanks mate. Just have to organise some wheels now.

Picked up a warning light to work as a shift light this week too and need to pull the dash apart to get to the Digital dakota panel , there is a warning output I can utilise as the shift light and can set it with the set up buttons on the bottom of the dash. Should work a treat.

After that maybe a line lock, we'll see.

Getting serious for the drags Denton!

I don't think you need a line lock. You've got decent HP and a high stall. You should be able to drive through your rear brakes for the burnout. 2 foot launches aren't too hard either.

I'd set your shift light up as close to your windscreen as you can. I find it all happens too quick to glance away from the windscreen. I've got a warning light on my console and I didn't notice when it went off. Was losing fuel pressure with my old fuel system.

I ended up buying a standalone shift light and strapping it to my column. Right in my face, still hard to see in daylight with all the red mist happening

Just thought I'd give an update

been to the autocross, Apocalaps twice since the car has been finished, Once to the drags, posted a 12.3 @109mph and did a bit of roll Racing last night at Barbagellos.

I'm there at about the 2:30 min mark

https://www.facebook.com/search/top/...racing%20perth

The car is begging for some more power but I know the block would not be reliable if I added a power adder. The rest of the car would be right, just not the block.

I'll have to turn my attention to a turbo on my latest toy, 1961 Karmann Ghia. I'll they to get some pics up.

Bigger cam maybe? lower gearset? Although both may tax your streetability
Nice hosing of the jap car on the vid btw - how did you find the roll-racing?

Its a good set up, organised well, I got about 20-25 runs in and left early, about 8:30.

Its closer than kwinana is and rolling start felt better on the car too....my rear view mirror stayed in place

Overall it was good, probably one of the slowest cars there and no turbo or blower.

You'll get a whole lot more street cred with one of these to go with it.

So I've seen Justin getting some modern engine mods happening in Angelina, LSA and all. Thought I'd show my latest packages that arrived.

I rebuilt the front end of the Mach1 so everything was new and strengthened the lower control arms when I rebuilt the car a year and a half ago. The plan was always to do Mike Maier Inc front suspension when I could afford it.

Well sometimes you just get stuff even though you can't afford to.....but at least I'm sticking to the plan

Heres some pics:

Pic of one side set up. the unpainted upper control arm is for display at Custom Cars and Coffee for the AWOL Protouring stand, the real ones going on the car are powder coated, pretty much the same colour as the engine and the rest of the little bits and pieces.

The JRI single adjustable coilovers are a Mike Maier Inc special valving internals and ooze quality

Can't wait to try them at the next ApocaLaps.........
