Only 10,000 Camaros (69s only) had the cowl hood as an option..
Out of the 248,000 built, that's 4 in every 100.
Besides, this car looks to be a September 68 build.. Cowl hoods weren't available until about Jan 69.

Awesome find. Please be fussy with it.
Ya right, Sept build.... so no hood, should also have a smaller rear spoiler too, not sure what happened there, but have a GM one to put on if I so desire!
Rear stripes are correct, and I think un-touched, front nose has had a tap and grille has been replaced with a black one (incorrect) but will sort that, sides have been blown over, roof boot and hood etc appear to be original paint..
Will return it to stock as much as I can, came with most of it's bits, including starter, alt, water pump, p/s pump, exh manifolds etc, but will have to chase up some stuff.....
Happy to have it fall in my lap!

Russ, I meant to say earlier that being a Van Nuys car, there's a very good chance that the car's body or chassis broadcast sheet might still be on top of the fuel tank, drivers' side. You can sometimes see them looking in from the wheelhouse, but (if present) the tank has to be dropped so the sheet can be carefully removed.
You already have a heap of documentation, but finding the broadcast copy would be icing on the cake.

Thanks guys, yeah lucky to find this car!
The tank was dropped out years ago, so don't have the sheet.
Not to worry, got the rest!
Just been giving the paint a bit of a birthday, bit average, but it will do.
Will post a few more photos.
