You're a princess. I was talking about '67 Riviera front ends, not every aspect of every Buick.

It's all his plan, i'm just researching a bit for him. A pillarless 4-door, not a bad idea, i'll put it to him but my thinking was better resale on a hardtop if he wants to move it down the track, but if funds are an issue it could mean the difference between having a US muscle car or driving a Commodore!
2 door V's 4 door value is subjective. 2 doors usually go for more, but that's when you're looking at big blocks, SS 427's etc - they can be big money compared to base models. The difference in value between a base model small block 2 door and 4 door would be nominal. With the 4 doors coming from the factory RHD, locally they probably pull more money than the equivalent 2 door.

Not sure of your relationship with your son, and it's none of my business, but if you can handle being members of the same forum shoot him the US Muscle URL.

Had to laugh years ago. Our family went to Melbourne for a family visit. We drove down in my VL Walkinshaw commodore. I let my son drive down, he was on his "L" plates at the time. He was pulled over on Geelong road. The cops eyes lit up when he saw the "L" plates flapping in the breeze on the Walky and when he saw the ACT permit the boy had, he was pissed off he couldn't book him. I jumped out of the car, as I was the licensed driver, to listen to what he was saying to my son. The cop got quite shirty with me and told me to get back in the car, its nothing to do with me......wtf??

It's really weird but in QLD a 'L Plater' can learn to drive in whatever car they have available to them (V8, Turbo, Charged). But then all of the restrictions apply for three years while on 'P Plates'

That's the same in NSW. Learners can drive anything. The restrictions start when they are on their P's.

My first car was an Impala. 65 4 door. Bought it when I was 15, built it with dad. Had it on the road just before I turned 17. Loved it.

Including lhd. My youngest had a few hours in my ragtop on his L plates.

My son drives a LHD Foxbody Mustang and the cops pulled him over on his P plates and asked him if it was legal for him to be driving a LHD car on P plates. His response was "Your asking me? What do you think I am going to say?" Of course the answer is yes it is legal (in QLD at least).
