Digital Art

Hey all,
Just thought Id throw this out there...
I used to do photo restorations but now im obviously into cars so looking to expand my capabilities
I have been playing around with photoshop for a while now, purely self taught, but my biggest problem is lack of material to work with.

So any way, onto the pitch... If you want a photo of your car turned into an art type shot, pm me and I'll send you email details...

This is the type of thing i'm talking about...

Couple of caveats though.
1. you must have rights to the photo (ie not professional shot that you dont have rights to)
2. you must permit me to post it here when complete

I dont do colour changes (yet), I cant get light shading correct on modified paint colours yet.

Birchy, Wow very very nice.

You should look at rendering. I know all the guys that have rendering done in the US it costs a fair bit, like US$500 - $1000 depending on who you go with and how many pics / details.

I so wanted a render of my car but that sort of cabbage is better spend on parts and labour.

Love your work !!

Dave,

A render is essentially a hand drawn version of your car, a future state vision, Birchy has done this above in the "wallpapers" he posted

I'll grab a couple of PT.com

Hand drawn is wrong description, it is digitally drawn using various tools like Photoshop and a few other apps. But it is a drawing of a future state (ie for me it would be taking the images / plans in my head and putting em on paper).

Carter Hickman is one of the top guys from what I can tell, here are two of his renders

Thanks Chris, but I am no where near that level.
QuickSilver was drawn by Jamie Seymour in the states, Suspect is just a copy I made of it. I did make the hand drawn LS1 in them, but it is just a manipulation of the photo below it...

Im used to working with photos.. so I dont create from scratch, I massage what Ive got..

I like the idea though, so might start trying it.. besides, I could probably turn a photo into a rendering

Does anyone with a brightly coloured car have a scenery shot like this:?

My car is too dark to standout like I want it to...
While Im at it.. does anyone know if these rims are available in 15" ? I did a mock up and I think the brakes are going to be too big for these 14"s..

That's awesome Birchy.

So can you change the colour on a photo? I would like to see what my car would look like in it's now 'Blood Orange' guise with all of the trims etc and at the correct ride height. So if I gave you a shot before and a shot now (for colour purposes) could that be done?

Cheers

Mitch

If you can give me a matching shot.. ie angle and distance, then yeah, i can overlay them no dramas.. and ride height is easy to adjust..
in this shot I didnt change the colour of the car.. but the background..
