1st gen Camaro / HQ Holden control arms interchangeable?

Noticed this ad on Gumtree where the guy is saying they are the same. HQ uppers look different, but is the top ball joint in the same location if you use a Camaro arm, or is this guy way off?

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sylv...rms/1152429651

This got me to thinking, if this is the case, why aren't the HQ-WB guys all buying up Camaro tubular control arms to improve their cars? And bringing the prices down for aftermarket arms in Australia

Those are 1st Gen uppers and lowers. The guy is mistaken.
No front suspension parts interchange except wheel bearings.

Lowers are similar and uppers are less.
1st Gen upper.

HQ upper.

1st Gen Lower

HQ lower.

Bump stop location. Hole drilled in spring seat. Cut out along lower edge. Pressed shape around sway bar mount. No steering arm limiter...

He's also mistaken on the 'replacement cost >$1200'...... often, you can't give away used upper and lower control arms in great condition.

Are you sure the BJs are different? I thought they were the same, at least one of them.

Lower ball joints are the same BJ55 OR BJ55OS if hole worn

been told buy a guy who micd em with micrometre theyre different hes been building Gen1s for 20years.
Mine were supposed to be right n they came loose,..turns oit the tapers were a couple of mm off,..n they worked loose chopped the split pins n then unwound the nuts to the point of only having 2 or 3 threads n they let go....goin down the road on 3 wheels...when we got it back to the work shop the other one was half way undone too...lucky I was only doing 50kph ...but the day before it was considerably faster out the road..
