As much as Iíd like to leave the whole thing exposed, most of it will be painted except for the middle section on top. The centre section of the bonnet will also be exposed.

Thanks Deano, the rendering is great inspiration, still chipping away. Hopefully sort the front chassis next week, and redo the firewall for the conversion.

Today I sent off the metal test results for the old rack housing and pinion gear along with the certificates for the new materials used so my engineer could assess wether the new materials meet or exceed the originals to gain engineering approval.

The answer came back that we have met the requirements with no issues, super happy the final box is now ticked.

Firewall mark III is now finished, before it can be installed the wiper conversion will need to be sorted, plan is to 3D scan the components, reverse the linkages and print out to test the operation and check clearances to the cowl bottom which may need modifying, this could impact on the pedal box so lots to consider before final fitment.
