Thanks Steve, the hidden wiper kit has been 3D modelled and just working out the revised linkages and off position. Plan is to utilise the current bracket to keep the motor in the original location and extend the linkages. This way we will have plenty of room for the pedal box. A little bit of a waiting game but still progressing with general tidy up from the firewall back. We will also modify the LS engine mounts to centre the block as it’s currently offset to the right to allow for the LHD steering shaft

Progress is a little slow in the last couple of weeks, wiper setup modeling is underway with the mechanism reverse engineered, mounting plate being laser cut for a test run in the next week, we also started mocking up the column mount using the LHD mount as a template, this is now on hold as the steering wheel I ordered was missing from stock, a 6 week wait is underway, we are also modifying the seat mounts so once the wheel arrives we can test fit column distance and finalise the steering shaft link to the rack.

Wiper arms now mocked up under the cowl, we found that the motor needs an additional brace, flipping the motor has created more space in the cowl area which may help out if more room is required to mount the Vintage Air compac unit. Also mounted a seat ( thanks for the lend Jake ) so we could determine column location and dash setup, unfortunately the Dakota HDX-2200 gauge cluster isn't going to work so a custom one will be organized.

Great work, wish I had some time to get back into some hardcore building.

Are you going for a dash /instrument like the Haltech IC7 or Autometer LCD?

Cheers Nev,

I'm going for a blend of old and new with something similar to the Dakota cluster below but change it up a bit. I've sent the custom dept a wish list and just waiting on a response.

Nice. Are you going for Km/h or MPH on the speedo?

Cool. I got a kmh instrument cluster from Dakota digital for my 56 pick up.
I have mph in my Camaro, it's accurate but sometimes I still do some mental conversion.
