[QUOTE=Jezz;189885]The 455 is getting kicked out for a boosted iron block gen III 5.3 LS with gen IV internals. Going to get hate from the Olds community but in the end, it's my car. The hardest part for me is working out what gearbox to use[/QUOTE

Perhaps more than just the Olds community...

If I was to do my Mustang again, for the amount of money I spent on the engine, and me doing all the labour, I would definitely consider an LS based engine. But I'm not planning on doing it again

Now I feel like you're really trying to stir the pot.

No pretty serious, I even said it out loud to Justin.

Anything I would have to do would require fab because of the RHD anyway, so bolting in a 6 speed would just be part of it, LS is smaller than a Cleveland, and lighter.

#LSTHEWORLD

Just keep an eye on gumtree and facebook market place, bargains have been cropping up.
I got an LS1 for $500 a few months back.
Never pay more than $1500 for a T56
TR6060s you can get for $700 if your lucky as people want T56's but they are a headache - Ask Justin....
Ls1s are $1500 any day of the week
Ls2s are around $3k
L98s are around $4K
L98s have better heads and they rev like no tomorrow, if you have heard mine, it loves limiter
Ls3s are a wee bit more, if you can stretch the budget, then do that.

You wont regret it.

Then you got the conversion parts from speedtech

Best bet, come to SEMA this year and you will get a good idea. THE BEST ADULT PLAYGROUND EVER...

Pretty interesting the difference's in EFI kits, especially with the costs differences. Fitech seems to be a lot of bang for the buck, but if using on an LS, you have to consider intake and ignition costs too.

Stu V runs the FiTech gear on his 496BBC in PRO-69R, and seems pretty happy with it

Is it possible to change the name of the thread? Opportunity has knocked.

The only darkside thing about the car will remain the paint.

Show me where I "wonder why it's a ghost town"

They're your words, not mine

Facebook use has slowed down traffic on EVERY forum, If you think traffic has slowed on here because I'm here......you're stupider than you look.

If you don't like it here, don't be here.......simple
