Is it just me...

Or does anyone else have problems loading the US Muscle web page?

Today is the first time I've been able to open this up for over a week.

Has anyone else had the same problem???

Hey Steve,

I'm sure I speak for many here that the constant downtime on USM over recent months must just about the final nail in it's coffin.

Such a shame as it's given so much to so many over the years, but the desire for anyone to return (let alone contribute) when it's constantly down is now so diluted that when it does finally come back online there's nothing but tumbleweeds.

I've no doubt you're doing your best, but on behalf of the wider group, I just wanted to check if you see this is an ongoing issue or beyond the available resources? Cheers heaps, Deano

They are all false auto-generated USA spam accounts. Click any of the 'members' to see. Detail fields are all rubbish.

Yes we have had a more than a few issues lately with the server. It all revolves around server issues. A few years ago we moved to a new server, but forum software doesn't like bits of it (MySQL version mismatches, error logs blowing up etc..), and we had an odd licensing issue (we are all paid up but something went wrong at cpanel) and we are getting hammered with spam... (hence the 2K users online now), daily we have a few hundred new registrations that i need to go through manually. There is software that can assist, but it means we need to upgrade ($$$).

To update the forum it will cost money and more importantly time, and expertise...

At the moment i'm doing band-aid solutions, fixing what breaks, so far so good, but i can't promise it won't crash again.

And just to be clear, this is not a request for funds jut want to make sure no one misunderstands that, USM is free.. period...

Appreciate your efforts Steve, a couple of other forums I used to frequent have fallen over in recent times. Can be a battle keeping on top of the spammers and compatibility issues if you are not a full time pro at this stuff. Maybe there is some expertise in the membership that can be tapped into?

Maybe the members could also get off their asses and post some stuff too, god forbid we have nothing other than facebook to keep us entertained.
