Success-scored a 66 Impala SS at last!

Hey guys,
Ive been searching the US for a mid 60's Impala for quite some time now. Started off pretty keen on a 65 but then narrowed my search down to a 66 Impala SS. I was specific on colour and interior colour, wanted Marina Blue/Blue interior, so you can imagine how hard it is to find something that specific, combined with a real hankering for a big block and 4 speed. My search started to become fruitless, lots of cars that came close, but didnt tick all the boxes. I even started recently looking at small block Nova's of the same years, because they seemed to be in abundance, particularly in the desired colours.

Patience eventually paid off, I just found a 66 Impala, genuine SS, numbers matching 396/4spd with 12 bolt posie rear and genuine 51000 miles, Marina Blue, Blue interior and got a heap of factory options. Im chearin!!!

Should be here in Aust early to mid October. Fingers crossed, I can't wait.

I'll try and post some pics.
Damn, looks like I can't do it from my iPad. Will have to post pics later.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

I found the car myself and USAtoAus arranged for a secure handover of the readies. The old guy (73 yrs) would only accept cash, no bank transfers etc.
Just waiting for it to be collected and taken to port.
The wait begins........

Thanks Pete.....how's the 65 coming along? Any closer to rego? Been following your progress, but haven't seen anything since you ripped the seats out.
