Bought a couple of thermo fans, local bandits want between $250-290 each without a fitting kit. Bought 2 from the States with fitting kits included for $300au

Retailers out here are phucking clueless.

Morris belts turned up.......nice

I discovered a hairline crack in my radiator after getting it rego'd and driving a grand total of 50km.
A new radiator, thermo fans, thermatic switch and radiator hoses later and hopefully it will be reliable enough to actually drive somewhere.
My grandad used to say in situations like this it's probably easier to jack up the horn bar and run a new car underneath and I'm starting to agree with him.

Couldn't repair the crack ? Any decent rad shop should be able to braze it.

I probably could've but I wanted the peace of mind of a new rad over the 42 year old one. If it's like the rest of the car it looks ok outside and is ****ed under the surface.
