Hi John. I've got the horseshoe shifter and original console and it was the plan to put them in, but I'm thinking I can live with the B&M for now. Might change in the future..who knows.

Hi Gary, I bought the car from Sacramento USA. Car was a guy's project and he completed all be the seats before he died. I bought it off his wife. Had the seats retrimmed here by a friend.
I've seen a few cars similar to mine but not exactly the same.

See you at Knox, or Krispy Kreme, or on the road.

Congratulations on the purchase , a beautiful car you've picked up there.Sad to here about the previous owner though. But he'd be happy knowing that it's gone to someone who'll appreciate his work.

Hope someone can help me with a problem I have with the engine in my car. Anytime the engine is running there is oil vapour coming out of the rocker breather.

I have checked the pcv valve. It is working fine.I also checked the vaccuum hose to the valve for blockage and it is also fine.

I don't have much detail on what has been done to the engine. What I do know is that it is a Chevy 350 (don't know if it has been stroked), it has roller rockers, a slightly lumpy cam, and that's about all I know.

I have asked the owner's widow for any info she has and waiting on a reply.

Back to my problem, all I can think of is that there is way too much crankcase pressure, leading to thinking that the rings are shot. But there is no oil smoke out of the exhaust that I can see. Definitely no oil residue on the ground below the exhaust tailpipes after an 'italian tune up' reving in the garage.

Any ideas?

In regards to the breathing vic, maybe the car sat for a long time and the rings have glazed. Dump the oil and run thin running in oil again for awhile. Hopefully the rings will bed in again if that's the problem.

Thanx for the suggestion Ken. I was told to run really heavy oil (20W70) which is in the car now. But the car did sit for a long time as the previous owner was sick for at least a year before he died. I'll give your suggestion a try.

Hey Alex,

I just saw a photo of your car. Believe it or not, you helped me get my car. I secretly wanted a 70 Camaro for a few years, but didn't think I could get it approved by the wife. I was driving down Warrigal rd in Feb this year and saw your car going in the opposite direction. I said to my wife "that's similar to the car I want to buy" She said "well if you want one, go and buy it" Woo Hoo!!!
