Hi Graham,

I wanted to run one of those or a Clay Smith but will not fit as subframe just clears the Edelbrock.

awsome read, love the 68 Bird....
Curious as to why you didnt run higher compression ?, love the reports anyway.
I got a 383 in mine with 11.7 to 1 compression,...comp Cams Extreme Hyd Roller, Edelbrock 210 Heads RPM AirGap n 750DP 2" open Phelnolic spacer went 573hp when we ran it in...n was tight...
I runa HD built T700 with a TCE 4500stall convertor...n (" Strange with 3.73 gears, I need some decent 15s n a weekend at the drags...

This new engine is 11.7 comp.
With the zero deck block & 65cc heads thats what the comp worked out & wasnt milling heads.

What are the cam specs on your cam & what sort of torque did it make ?
What RPM was peak HP with 210 heads on 383 ?

Cant find specs atm,....It made 513ftlbs form 3200 to 5000?..i think...we wound it to 6500 peak after run in n tune went 573 hp @6100

My limiting factor is a max lift of .590 due to heads...

My Holley 750DPis giving the sh@ts though,..always running rich
