Also wrapped the exhaust in an attempt to reduce engine bay temps for fuel issue.

actually works quite well as u can still touch them after a 20 minutes drive (i say touch quite liberally) but a definite reduction in temps.

These are old pics now as the engine bay is a fair bit cleaner too.....

Have also repainted the rocker covers and left a few "stripes" on the covers (pics to come).

nice work, would one of the newport wiper motors be any good for your application, i use one with tall valve covers and they work well.
These are a little less than the DSE wiper motors, not that you will need wipers that often in Kal. lol

cheers mate, yeah those DSE wipers are quite cool but i didn't really want to part with $500+ when i never use the wipers/drive in the wet so i just ripped one off an old HZJ79 cruiser and made up a blank off plate that covers all the old hole and people's attempts at "riv-nuts" and hack jobs.... just had to re-wire it differently as the old system was an earth switched setup where new gear is usually positively switched. Had to put a few change over relays in place but i was doing the wiring anyway so it didn't really matter.

will put up pics when i get some

With the wiper install i first had to cover up the big hole and multiple drill holes that someone has attempted to fit a wiper at some stage. I just utilized a few existing threaded inserts that were there and made up a plate to cover everything up.

Next was to line up the wiper motor in a central location in the old wiper hole and get it mounted. Big thing is to take the wiper arms off as they may go over the normal swing and wreck the chrome window trims. before mounting the motor to the plate i moved it around with the wiper linkage attached and motor running to find the "sweet spot" of where the motor should be located in order to rotate freely without hitting the upper valance panel.

With that done i marked out my wiper mounting holes, drilled and tapped them and attached wiper motor to mounting plate and then mounting plate to firewall.
