New arrival 69 Camaro

Well finally after 5 months of waiting on engineers and transport i have gotten my dream car (waiting 15 years now).

Running a 502bbc crate engine (stock as far as i am aware), with a tremec 5spd into a 10bolt rear with 3.5 gears.

Just waiting now to get it rego'd and will be hitting the streets (legally) of Kalgoorlie.

Have already spent a bit of time going over it and first thing the missus wants is A/C, so with that in mind a full under dash re-wire will be happening as 45 years of people putting scotch locks and dodgy crimp connectors will be coming out.

Looking forward to getting out and cruising locally but also bigger events (powercruise, motorvation, west coast nats etc....)

Manual big block = tons of fun

You'll have to come down and race at one of our ApocaLaps events - big blocks used to rule the roost, however last Autocross Champ was a '70 Mach 1 Mustang - but overall champ was Stu V's super-sweet 496 '69 Camaro.

If you get stuck chasing parts let me know, we deal for Speedtech Performance in Oz , so might be able to hook you up with a deal - however if you want an AC system you will want some time up your sleeve for sea freight, because air freight shipping is deadly

Cheers mate, handling wise the rear end is just stock mono leaf with drums, way down the track I am wanting 4 link with coil overs or airbags (depending on budget) and disc conversion, so probably be a bit of a wait before I ever hit the track

Nice looking car

I am a fan of AAW wiring kits.

Classic update, will help with A/C install, http://www.americanautowire.com/view...vrolet-camaro/

Wow they are pretty comprehensive and not too bad on the $$ either (although usd to aud plus shipping probably takes it up too a grand) . Thanks for the idea
