Thanks Justin. As for the cracks in the paint Al not sure yet. To get it sweet the whole car would have to go back to bare, not going to do that yet as it's still presentable.
No more camaros disco, been there done that and done my ass when I sold it . I actually want to buy back my 53 Belair rat and go pro touring underneath(nowhere in the ballpark of gregs level ) but leave the outside alone. Just have to get them to sell it back to me.

I like it Ken, apart from a couple off years, I think the Ford trucks killed the Chevs.

Yeah thanks Greg I tend to agree. There are certain models/years where I think fords win out e.g 1966 fastback mustangs to me beat the vette or anything else in that year.

Don't worry about what people say with Chev in a Ford etc. It's a broken record that gets duller everytime you hear the argument. It's a great looking truck and it's yours, and that is all that matters. My truck is the same. I am going to carry around a bucket full of dummies and hand them out to anyone I hear saying "that sucks...it should have a Ford engine in it.."
Great ride! Have fun!

Yeah thanks Peter. It's a very sweet sounding motor so it makes it hard to pull it out. If anything happens to it I will replace it with a 351 but for now I'm just going to enjoy it.

Ok starting to do some work on the old girl. It runs a th350 and I noticed when I drove it home the auto felt sluggish and reverse needs a few revs just to move. Found the auto oil burnt to a light brown colour. Have you guys ever changed the fluid and the box has come good or do you think it's screwed? Will pull the pan off as well to see what's in there. It also runs one of those finned cylinder type oil coolers under the floor. Never used one before, good or not?

Yeah it was a touch low disco. Thanks Al will take the gamble on oil if I don't find anything in the pan. If it's buggered I might just buy a th700 from somewhere and fit that. The convertor seems too tight as well as it pulls the car down to near stall when you put it in gear.

Hey guys, awaiting the new auto and working on getting the battery out of the cabin and just fitted retractable seat belts(easiest car I had to fit them to as there was bracing in the right places). Can anyone tell me what this front end is? 2nd gen camaro maybe?

It had chunky bits in the filter as well Al. If I was living in any other place I would have got the auto recon'd but living up here I just bit the bullet and ordered that Hughes one I was talking about. The converter is way too small for the cam as well so thought may as well do it right now.
