Nice Roadrunner mate! Bit of a surprise to see a US car that isn't a Camaro coming into Perth... ha ha...
LOL indeed - Mustangs too, sometimes it seems we move more Mustangs than everything else combined.

Sweet ride. Looks like uncle paid attention to the details in the resto.
How come it's taking way off until Aug/Sept to get here?

Well got word today that all the documents are in order and it should be leaving LA last week in June, arrival in Perth start of Aug. Trying not to get anxious but its too hard not to when my screensaver keeps reminding me.

Peter, yeah my uncle is /was a sign writer by trade so its all about the details, thats why I didn't hesitate when he offered it.

That's not a bad stablemate, mate; I've no issue with Mustangs - just suprised at how popular they seem to be over there.

Well got word that the Roadrunner is ready to pick up in Freo. I'll have to organise a trailer or flatbed for this coming Thurs when I get back from work. Anyone have any economical means they could suggest to get the car from Freo up the freeway to Kinross?

If you're confident it's driveable (I always take fresh 98 fuel, a battery, oil and pwr steering/tranny fluid on pick up) then you can try using a temporary permit for the trip. Especially if you are taking it directly to a mechanic up your way for repairs/preparation for licensing, yes?

Cool website PANA-YAMATHIS. I have a VG Pacer hardtop I'm finishing off the resto on, so I'll be visiting.

I thought about that and I am pretty confident that it will start and go with no issues....as it left Canada, just not sure about the 45 km drive home after being on a boat for 6 weeks and transport trucks etc. I don't want to spend the day at the depot messing with it if there is something wrong. I haven't dismissed that thought yet though.

Denton I enjoy doing it, it's a blast, and a great way to get to know the car warts and all. I'm happy to follow you as support crew. If you hit trouble, call a flatbed as a last resort, I have some reliable guys to call. Just PM me if you want to give it a go.

I guess with not a lot of luck with cars until recently I'm with you. I would rather get it delivered home and go over it before I drive it. The car is a stunner mate, enjoy.
