Update

The car got its second and hopefully final coat of spray putty late last week.

Then, hit a huge milestone in getting underneath the car painted. Used UPOL Gravitex and it went on really well.

Now just need to finish painting the rear leaf springs and associated hardware, then can put the rear end and front subframe back under the car and it's a roller again.

Makin' progress.

Thanks Lyndsay. The lift has been a god send. I can position the car at any height including way over my head, and it is mobile so I can roll the car around the workshop at the same time. Hopefully I won't need it for much longer as it'll be back on its own wheels soon.

Stripe Colour Choice

Guys,

Looking for some opinions on the colour choice for the striping on my car. The colour for the car is called Benz Brillian Silver which is very similar to Cortez Silver. I can run the normal black Z28 stripes but I really want to do something different.

I want to run a red highlight throughout the car including the engine bay, interior, underneath etc. So I've come up with some different designs for the stripe colouring.

Remember, the base colour for the car is silver, so the idea is to run from the black in the centre, through a transition colour of a mid colour silver (darker than the base colour) then to a thinner red stripe around the outside.

I think I'm preferring number 1 but was looking for advice/preferences. Looking for all and any comments on your thoughts on this.

Thanks

Darren

I would say keep it simple with classic z28 stripes. Less is always more..

Keep it simple. If you don't want original - and that's fine - then go for the 1st one.
