How are muscle cars treated by police?

What's you experience with boys in blue in regards to this question?

Never had a problem, they seem to like the ricers more these days. Not like when I was young were just driving a Torana was enough to get ya pulled over.

I just got looks and smiles from coppers.

In my younger days, they would check me out, maybe follow me for a bit and make sure I didn't do anything stupid. But now I just get ignored most of the time, occasionally a nod of approval and sometimes the odd compliment.

You're generally looked at as an enthusiast as opposed to a rev-head.

I've gotten away with heaps of sh!t in that car.

Yeah as per others have said, cops generally know an enthusiast from a drift king wannabe. My last beastie was a little less than legal as the caltracs were hanging about and inch from the ground and the buggers were really visible from behind. I had many cops behind me at lights to just give me a smile as they went past me.

I have been pulled over twice in the Camaro, first time I hadn't even got it home from the transport company depot, and the second was at a RBT stop, both times it was just to have a closer look and left with grins on their faces

Have been pulled over in my Camaro before, just so they could check it out for there interest... which was fine by me, and no yellow sticker was issued . I think if you are genuine enthusiast and are not crossing the line/safety of others a "good cop" will see that .
These cars aren't for just looking at can you smell that rubber ??

I find they leave you alone if your not hooning. Even if the car is loud they are not sure how to treat cars when ADR,s dont apply. Red plates confuses them more according to a Cop mate.
For me they see a old fart driving and just cruising- no problem !!

Hehe J.J that's a good one.

I haven't driven mine as yet so i am not sure how i ll go, but i had some good runs with police before.

Once on they way to Adelaide, i got done by cop car doing 20 something over the limit.

When my wife asked him to show us the speed on his camera, he did so and he was right.

Than he said to my wife to go sit in the car and told me since my wife asked him to confirm the speed he will give me a ticket.

My response was "Mate, you know how women are" " he just smiled and said have a safe trip hehe
