Hey Guys!

I hope I am not doing the wrong thing here by starting my own thread but I thought you might all like to see some of the cars that get featured in PERTH STREET CAR magazine seeing the majority of you are over East.

I shoot all the features and write all of the articles for the local mag as well as regulary contributing to the likes of Street Machine, Exteme Street, Street Commodores, Street Fords, Chrylser Action and soon to be Cruzin.

Some of the Perth guys know me personally and know that I am a car freak through and through. I own a mild custom styled Mazda 1800 named 'Goldfinger' and a nearly comepleted Valaint AP5 Wagon built in a similar way to the Mazda going tentatively by the name of the 'Brown Hornet' at the moment. Both are kinda cool and quirky...

When I complete some new shots I will post away and if you are in WA and know of tough cars that may suit a feature hit me up asap. I will also be doing personal shoots in the near future too as the damand is getting out of control for this kind of stuff... Anyway, enough bull****, here are some pics. The first is of my Mazda...

Cheers,
Jordan Leist.

Awesome pics. I really like the moving ones like the Torry & the colours in the first pic work really good. I would like to be able to take photos one day instead of what I do with a camera.
What sort of camera do you use as I bought a cannoe EOS 400d (I think) & have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks Craig!

I love the rolling shots too - so much fun and always challenging to boot.

Everyday I step out with the camera I learn mate and everyday I open the laptop my processing gets a little better.

It is all about practising and as gay as it seems, grab a few magazines about photography that are just about hints and tips or even look at you-tube for info.

I learn from mistakes and **** ups, which happen all the time. Sometimes luck is what you need or just great timing.

I shoot with a Sony A850, Sony A700, Sony A550 and soon a Sony A77 when it is released... All mid range euipment with a handful of good lenses.
The glass makes the difference but most importantly it is the person behind the camera that is doing all the work.
For example, I shot the cover of three national magazines with a digital SLR worth about $650 when I first started... :-)

The 440d is a good camera mate, read the instructions, play with the settings on the same subject and notice the differences.

Jordan.

Hey sweetheart.... isn't it time you came back to bed

By the way... I don't see my Mazda so there are no real muscle cars in this thread!!

Your pics are getting better and better each time mate... Proud of you and your work...

Thanks Guys!

Glad you appreciate my work and for you Chris, another week and I can edit some more for you :-)

A big thank you to Mitch also for the constant support and for being one of the very first guys to give me a chance at shooting their car for a magazine.
I might try and dig some of those up and re-edit them mate :-)
