Crisis

Ok, The time to start the rebuild has come, The parts have been ordered and will leave the States soon.

As you can see the car looked OK before we started, but as I started to strip it down I found lots of things that I was not happy about. They have put partial floors in and done a terrible job. My painter isn’t very happy about the rear Quarters either, so there won’t be much original metal by the time I am finished. I am replacing the full floor, Boot floor, firewall , both rear quarters and since I am shaving the drip rails and putting a 6 point cage in it I might as well replace the roof as well, as it will make the cage install easier.
I am hoping to get the car ready for SummerNats 2010. The car will be pro touring but will see regular ¼ Mile action.

Soda blasting comes up a treat... Nice work....

Thats one ugly looking harmonic balancer on that motor!!! Especially in such a clean engine bay.

Hi Chris

I am waiting to see what the dollar does over the next 6-8 months, if it improves a fair bit I am going to put in a 572 Cube F2 procharged engine about 1200 hp on pump gas, if not I will probably stick with the 509 and pro charge that with a smaller F1 pro charger.

The engine and trans where the only things I didn't buy when I was at Prodogy Custom, thanks buy the way for putting me on to them as Frank, Lisa and Michael are fantastic I went to the shop a couple of times and had dinner with them, I will catch up with them at SEMA 2009

Greg,

Prodigy are awesome, reckon I have spent over $12K with them.and still more to come yet.

CHD does some awesome stuff, i have seriously thought abut getting a render don on my car...how much did it cost may I ask ?

Now on those colours.....they both lok great.

My car wilk be close to that orange. I want either Candy or Pearl yellow. But it will be close to orange. Not gold, not orange and not bright yellow. I am thinking a red base on a yellow candy. Either way I vote with your wife that Orange looks great.

572 Pro-charged.....Hmm, I have been debating blowing the 632. It's 800Hp now, but a big blowe on top would look great I think (problems with rego so may do it after rego). But the more and more I dwell on it the more and moe I think an 8/71 will end up on mine
