He does panel and paint work I used to work for his uncle occasionally when Mick was working there in the early 80's, as said he is a great bloke and I'm only piss taking to wind Steve up

Here's a pic of Mick's Cuda from one of the "Maryborough Street machine" club meets at Princess park Probably close to 30 years ago :O

Mick emailed some progress pics to me today.. Nothing too significant as they were more about questions he had for me as opposed to any major mile-stones.. Still, great to see stuff being done.

The hood did need some filler but very little (pink) as there were a few low spots that needed taking care of. The header panel is now in place and the gaps are really nice and even.

The ill-fitting right front fender requires 3 heavy shims. Because the inner bracket that bolts to the firewall is in the wrong location and is being adjusted, it's been decided that this side bracket will also be adjusted so only 1 of these shims will be used.

The rear wheel arch lips are being pulled back down as per OE. They were lipped in such a way that it would not allow the stainless trims to be fitted. I'm fitting GM stainless trims, so back down they come.
With 275 radials or 285 sized L60s bias on 4.5" back-spaced 15X8s, there is no need to lip these arches anyway.
(Lips are unfinished.)

Also, what's the general consensus on the Chevelle "Cowl Induction" emblems on Camaro hoods?

I decided to and drilled holes, then after a few years of the resto, I had second thoughts. Now I thought about it some more and have decided to go ahead with fit them.
I guess because I like emblems there.
Z28 with cowl hoods had them ("302"), and some dealers fitting 427s fitted "427" emblems there too.

Incorrect of course, but I think they look neat.

Easter is one month away.. No, it won't.
It may have paint by then, but it won't be ready to drive.

Fingers crossed though.

I like what you are doing with the rear wheel lips and fitting trims, will suit the car really well.
So looking forward to seeing this car in the flesh.
