WOW is all i have to say, though its easy to make a ****ty paintjob look good in pictures you can tell this will be the opposite in that it will look better in person. Looks Great Steve.

This may have been covered already but i couldn't find it, do you know how many coats of each colour and clear has been used?

I think 2 or 3 of base and 2 of clear. Thick paint chips easily and the actual thickness of the coats may vary depending on what hardners are added etc.
It's something that I should know more about, but I know that Mick knows what he is doing and I trust his judgement..
I'll ask him, but it will be out of curiosity only.

Yea that's why I'm asking just curious because no doubt it's a GREAT job.

Would be interesting to hit it with the paint depth gauge after.

3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear Mitch.

Left early for the long haul up to see the car again today..

.....

Went to fit new rear spoiler mounting studs, only to find that the holes were never drilled properly in the spoiler from before since I've had it.. Only a tad off center.. 4 out of the 8 are like this..

Which means the studs don't fit correctly..
So, the spoiler will be painted but not mounted. I will fill & redrill these holes properly before I fit it.

Hood is almost ready for paint. A few annoying lows spots held this up from being painted.

No, I can't count!

Header panel emblem fitted also..

Glued the cowl panel foams in place as per UPC 1-A3.
I'm sure Colin will appreciate their function of ensuring that "pressurized" air entering the cowl vents continues through to the plenum where it will enter the interior.

..and fitted the seal.

Assembling of front sheetmetal begins now...

Thanks Steve, nice I'm guessing his coats would be nicer more uniform than other sprayers so prob around the same thickness 280-350micron which is nice!
