Exclamation 1967 Impala 4 Door Pillarless - Aus built RHD

No, not mine

There's an Aus built '67 hardtop on eBay now. No motor - definitely a fixer-upperer.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....tchlink:top:en

Same colour combo as Smote's old one. His hat a motor though, so probably not the same car.

Sorry if posting this is against the rules - I just know there's half a dozen members looking for one of these and they don't pop up every day.

Yeah, I'm actually bidding on it. But i can't squeeze the reserve out of the seller.

He's posting more pictures this weekend apparently, but seems a bit flakey. He said there is a fair amount of rust in it thats not shown in the pictures, also it is an auto and it does have the gear box.

Black interiour, but when you look closely at the picture through the windscreen it appears the back seat is out at least.

Anyway I reckon his reserve is going to be too high for me(for its location).
Still i am to top bid ATM!

These are definitely jumping up in price.

Luke (smote) bought his in slightly better condition, running - and drove it home from Victoria - for roughly $4500. That was about 4-5 years ago.

I paid a bit more than double that for car which, had the owner not started stripping the paint, I wouldn't have had to do a thing to it.

good luck James.
they are hard to get - hope he sends you better pics though! So you can make a rational decision. motor, interior, paint, rust.. can get $$$$ when you add it all up. But can be worth it in the end.

Dude never put up any more pics, nor sent me any proper information. When he says that there is rust and yet provides no pictures of it, it seems a bit dodgy.

debating whether to bid higher. Sure hes got a reserve of like 10K or something.....

did you see the valiant conv he is selling "has lots of rust and dust" lol..

He would probably get a lot more bids if he put more pics up - a shame you are not in NSW or get someone to look at it.. but you only have 11 hours to go.

Sellers like this sh*t me to tears.

How hard is it to roll the car out, take 20 minutes to go over the car and give a reasonable description of what it will need - and take a dozen in-focus photo's?

These same lame-arse sellers are also the one's that complain about getting all the stupid questions. Put up adequate info & pics and you don't get all the same questions, d*ckhead!

There's probably a good reason why he doesn't provide good pics and plenty of 'em. Its a 5hitter and he's gonna try and sucker someone through evilBay, where they commit to buy.
It sounds dodgy to me also and I'd stay well clear.

The good thing about ebay, is that you can turn em down when you see the car, if you can do it face to face.

As long as you say that the seller misrepresented the item, and don't pay them before you see it. Ebay doesn't even fine you. Personally though its too far for me to go on the weight of those sh1t pics, just to tell him its **** then drive back, plus his spelling is atrocious!

Theres gotta be some in victoria!

That Gumtree one looks OK. You always said you wanted a project. No rust. Looks to have most trim.

its got no bonnet though, or engine or gearbox.

Its the sort of one i'd like but its too pricey, mainly cos i'd have to get it down from QLD.

Damn it. Been thinking about these all day. If I didn't just spend every last cent I had on the C10 pickup from the US, I would go buy one of these.

Want a black one to go with the white one

Pricey?? Cheap as perfect for converting a lhd 67.

Id advise paying more for one that is driveable you will save in the long no matter what trade or how handy you are.
