Question 69 barracuda

Hello, I joined because my boyfriend has a 69 barracuda and he says it used to be worth money but now he would get nothing for it if he tried to sell it and I wanted to see other opinions, like what would the average price range be for a working 69 barracuda?

Hi Jane. This is an Australian forum for American car owners.
I'd suggest you ask locally for a relevant answer.
Also, you will need to reveal much more about the car for an accurate answer.

Any 69 muscle car will be worth good money

Here's some 69 Cuda's. Just do a google search

But read between the lines, what your BF is telling you is he doesn't want to sell it. It's worth more in sentimental value than he'll ever get cash for it...that's what I'm hearing

Agreed Jane. A 69 Barracuda is probably not worth much - maybe 1-2K tops. Your boyfriend is right in what he is saying. There is absolutely no value in them and selling the car would probably be a pointless exercise.

1, I'm not telling him to sell it, he's the one that mentioned it. I like the car too.
2, We're not married so I couldn't take anything, not that I would anyway

He said something about getting more out of it if he chopped it up and sold it for scrap metal so I was just curious what other people thought it would be worth so I could throw some higher prices at him so he'd feel better about it because he put some money into it back when it was worth more but so far that isn't working out so great.

Anyway, thanks for your answers.

post a couple of photos and some detail and we will let you know pretty quickly what you could get for it....this is predominantly an Australian based forum however as the title says our interest is US Muscle cars, as a combined group you will get a pretty accurate idea of what its worth

Have a look at the forabodiesonly forum, it is US based and focusses on these cars. You might get a better answer there. Price very much depends on condition.
