Which Insurance Company?

Been without a classic for a while but have one on the water now.
I had quotes on previous cars from Shannons, Lumley, Ryno ... and Ryno always beat the others. Ryno gave good service and I wrote a car off once (not my fault) and I had a cheque ($60k) in my hand 2 weeks later.

But times change and I was just checking the reviews and 6 out of the 9 reviews for Lumley absolutely trashed it.
Shannons received 2.3 out of five stars from 100's of reviews and NRMA (of all people) got 4.2 stars out of 5 from 100's. Ryno gets 4.5 stars - but that's from only 14 reviewers.

Any input welcome. Cheers.

I’ve been with Shannon’s for years. No complaints and paid out my car that got flooded no hassles.

I've been with Shannon's for years.
Unfortunately I had to make a claim on my Camaro, Shannon's had it all sorted very quickly.

Shannons are good right up to agreed value. My car they won't insure for anywhere near what I believe it is worth, moreover with 6 years now as built they claim it's depreciated not appreciated due to the heavy custom build...I'm currently exploring other options

Shannons are covering mine while I'm building it and with engineered mods. They have paid out a claim I made about 10 years ago. I sent them photos, they sent me a cheque. Pretty sure Suncorp owns them.

Been with Shannons for years also, only had to claim on home and contents so far after some storm damage to the house, no issues there. Did have to hit them up for some better prices a while back as premiums were getting a litte out of control.

I have home and contents, two daily drives, collector car and a project car on laid up cover with them.

I support Shannons because of there terrific support and sponsorship of Historic racing and our sport. Prepared to pay more to because of this

NRMA for me. Cheap and I trust them to pay if I need to claim

I'm with Shannon's did a ring around when I got the last renewal as prices had gone up. but compared to the other quotes I received their price was by far the best. I have the house, two cars and the bike with them. have made a claim or two without any issues. I found it interesting that the quote from Suncorp there parent company was almost twice the price!
