Donut Van Locations Please.

Anything for an excuse to cruise and eat crap.

So.. Where are these donut guys lately? Seems they aren't around quite as much as they used to be. That's for sure..

One I konw of that still operates..
Coldstream.
Maroondah Hwy. Truckstop on East side, just before Ingram Road if you are heading Northbound.
Melway 281 11A

Others that are still operating?

Bendigo.
Well you did want to cruise.

There's usually one in between Tooradin and Koo Wee Rup heading toward Philip Island.

Lang Lang Rodeo on tomorrow and a ute show if you're looking for something different.

Oh it's a challenge to spot the bloke and gal without a bundy in their hand.

yummmmm. I always remember as a kid there being one outside my Grandma's retirement village in/near Eltham. The best part about visiting her was the hot jam donuts

I wish they had them here in WA (although my ass probably doesn't lol)

Thanks Guys.. Hoping for accurate KNOWN locations and metro-Melbourne or outskirts.

I love a jam donut Frank. Cinnimon is just as good but all must be made while you wait..
Best way to spoil your appetite for dinner.

Without a doubt these Doughnuts are the best , this guy has been at the same spot for over thirty years . My partner and I went there a few weeks back , while she waited in the car I went to get the half a dozen that she requested , I returned with a dozen and polished off my half a dozen before we left Footscray I reckon . They also spell Doughnut correctly .

Read the reviews .

http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/71/14926...nuts-Footscray

Now Footscray is a scary place , if you guys do organise a Doughnut run can I suggest you find a local park somewhere close by and someone do a run to the van , as the van is in the heart of Footscary there isn't anywhere to park , so I suggest someone drive to the van , literally take a couple of others to ride shotgun ( they can amuse themselves by watching the numerous drug deals go down or watch some of the scary people that inhabit this area) , make your purchase and then high tail it outta there back to the park . Looking at nearmap there's Footscray Park just down the road with car access from Maribyrnong Blvd witch comes off Farnsworth Ave .

ROYAL DONUTS

The key to a good cinnamon donut is balance: the temperature must be just so, the sugar and cinnamon mix correct, and the donut's "seam" needs that hint of crispness. And while some donut chains get it right, success or failure rests in the hands of whoever's working the machines that day. This is not the case at Knox City's Royal Donuts, where the cinnamon donuts are made fresh by a small, friendly team. An oasis of donutty calm in the middle of the frenetic Market, Royal offer other donuts and food court fare, but it's their cinnamon variety that brings the crowds.

I've been there..
..but then with their "How to" knowledge, these guys then make up quantities and sit them bagged waiting for sale. Ever bought donuts that aren't totally fresh, like at the supermarket?
You gotta see them coming off the machine as you order them. That's when they are awesome. Otherwise, mediocre.
