Any dirt bikers here?

I've ridden dirters since I was 8, I haven't had one for a couple of years due to a shoulder injury. Rebuilding an old Yammy at the moment to get back amongst it

I have a '96 CR250 (last of the steel frame) - also had a banged up shoulder for a while, from trying to outride my abilities :P
Few years ago now though, haven't ridden it in many many moons - will probably fund more parts

Yep, we had YZ's we had great fun with them.
I had a bit of a stack , rode up an hill expecting a down hill run on the other side but it was actually a cliff! OUCH!
Lost a fair bit of confidence after that.
We still have 1 Suzuki DR for buzzing around our property and a Suzuki Quad (which is more dangerous than 2 wheels!)

I raced motocross & supercross for many years when younger. Got out of it for a while then bought a YZ450F followed by my first endure bike, Husaberg FE450F. Sold that about a year ago when still in Perth.
I would love to buy an old late eighties CR500 for a bit of fun

I know what you mean Jim but sometimes you just have to ride something that can scare the crap out of you at any moment for a bit of excitement. I guess that's why they called the old 2 stroke 500's widow-makers..

My young bloke was the same as you Nev, after this stack he lost interest which is a shame....
I must admit when I was following him "I new he was going way to fast" And the loose gravel made him pay big time.....

https://youtu.be/nRYhIwgJTwU

I've had a load of bikes along the way from start to end

Z50J which I still have
YZ80C
YZ80J which I still have
RM100X
RM125Z
CR250RF "Stolen" after one week...
XR250RF
XR600RF X 2
XR650R
And this XR250RT was my last

Haven't been on a dirt bike for 30+ years, used to have a CR125 when I was a young fella, back in the days before they had mono-shocks, plenty of
good times, but would probably fall off an hurt myself these days.

I've been riding dirt bikes since age 8 as well and love em.

Started out on one of those Briggs & Stratton motors in a metal frame then moved onto the following.

YZ80C
YZ125G
YZ125J
YZ250N
TT250
95 KTM 620 EXC
2001 KTM 520 EXC ( current ride )

My early rides were all Yammy's but my last 2 bikes and any future bikes will be European.
