Where to cruise and eat/drink in WA - Car Safe

I thought I'd start up an ideas thread for all those out there that just want to go out on a week night or weekend for a cruise and to get something to eat and/or drink. Obviously, the weather's nice, so you'd like to take your car but your worried about "where can I go and still be able to keep an eye on my car?"

I'll throw a few up, but feel free to add your "favourite" spot and maybe this can become a Sticky for us Perth/WA people.

1. Captain Minchies in Fremantle is one I've been too that is good and quite often bump into other car enthusiasts. If your choosy, some of the foods not too bad.

2. South Tce in Fremantle, down towards the South Beach end - there's some nice little restaurants that you can eat "sidewalk alfresco" style and most times I've been lucky enough to park on the road within sight.

3. Beach Street Cafe - Opposite the East Street jetty on Beach St Fremantle. There's usually some street parking, or there's a big carpark opposite which you can park and leave your car in view.

4. Alfreds Kitchen in Guildford isn't too bad. Can order a nice burger and chips or their famous Pea Soup without straying too far from the carpark.

There are a few good cafes along West Coast Highway. Generally pretty easy to get a parking spot unless it is a really warm day.

Also through Vic Park but you need to be luckly and early most of the good spots go quick.

Good topic though its tough to take the car out if you want a good meal though.

The wife and I often take a spin up to Yanchep Lagoon and get fish and chips or a burger at the Lagoon Café. Your car is in full view even if you sit inside or there are a few tables and chairs out side too. Try to avoid the really hot weather days so there are a few less beach goers.
There are also a few take away joints along the Cottesloe beach road where you can usually park along the beach front and eat by your car on the grassed areas.
Someone needs to bring back "Bernies" from the 80,s which used to be on Riverside Drive. It was common to see the car park full of Hotrods, Mustangs, Vettes, etc on a Friday night. I think it even had angled parking and the whole 50,s 60,s rock and roll theme going on.

I can remember Bernies, coming home from the Speedway on a Friday night and stopping to get something to eat and drink.

There are some decent places to eat and park on Rockingham foreshore, Rustico Tapas bar is awesome, and during the week you can park out the front, most times.

Great spot Lindsay. I was up at the Serpentine dam this afternoon and there was 6 Muzzys up the at the cafe, It would make a good cruise.

Looks cool, now that I'm 'almost' back on the road this might be a good family/group cruise
