I've found that with any decent aftermarket cam, 16* @ idle and limiting the total to around 36* works best. It's the total or to much vacuum advance causing pinging issues.
Means you've got to mess around with the advance curve, but it'll love you back Jim
And if you can find an "octane boost" that really works, you'll be the first.
The engine is pretty well the way it came from the factory Dave
I'm not to fussed about performance so will keep it at the factory 4*

I finally checked my hidden cowl vin and happy to say it's a match. Now to fix my speedo. Goes berserk when I go over 30, hopefully just a cable issue.

Load of little bits though Phil (USA2AUS). Email from Monday suggests he sent first packages yesterday.. hes still waiting on some parts to arrive and the rest will come by sea I think...
Im not complaining though (yet), he saved me a fair bit... Heaps on the autometer gauges..

Yeah, did'nt get time yesterday to take a pic. Will take some pics on the weekend whilst in the presence of a professional so will ask him for some pointers on how to take good photo's of cars

Got them thru Phil as well, had to wait a bit for them but that was because he had to set up an account with Fesler first and also he was on his road trip.
