The factory did use the parcel shelf as rear sash-belt anchor points, so mounting the harness' anchor/s properly, I would be confident it can be used.
The law on harnesses though, is that the rear seat needs to be permanantly removed. (ie: all mounts removed to prevent re installation of the rear seat.)
It's very dangerous to have a front harness and rear passengers for obvious reasons.

You only need the 4 point for 10.99-12.00 seconds I think Deano, also a stupid battery isolator.....so the way your going your going to need one of those soon as well. Beware the speed bug,the mongrel hurts bad when it bites

Steve, If you read up on harness installation, you will see that you need a harness bar as the length of the straps is as critical as the angle. There is way to much strap stretch from the rear parcel shelf.

Thanks for the comments guys. I fitted a harness as the Calder scruitineering rules say a minumum of 3-pooint belt (ie - no lapbelts permitted, regardless of speed/ET).

Did some research on mounting, which stopped me from mounting at base of front seat (=compressed spine). The way shown is used by many (inc a few regular racers here. Check out the old thread: http://www.usmuscle.com.au/Forum/sho...?t=5757&page=2

Terry, any pix of your setup would be great. Cheers!

Greg, Thanks so much for raising this. Definitely understand just looking out for best interests!

OK, a couple of dodgy phone pics of the anchoring of my harness belts into the rear parcel shelf..

Those anchor plates cost a few bucks via ebay.

Hope this helps Dean.

On the risk of bringing up a point of contention, no air cleaner I take it Dease with a dominator?
By the way the engine bay looks sweet.

Looks good Gav, hope you get it sorted soon

I thought the EFI would sort the A/F out.
How do you tune the EFI is it with a plug in control module or a laptop?
