"Better call Saul".....
But seriously, All I can say is wow!!!!

I also agree that these pricks need to be named and shamed (albeit at a large expense to you), but kudos to you for following this through.

I hope this sorts itself out for you in one way or another.
If you have a judgement against him, is there a way of enforcing it, considering it seems he is still in business (it seems)?
Or does this mean more money for the lawyers?

I wish you the best of luck.

A judgement is just a piece of paper and should the loser not pay you have to retain legal council to collect.
I am working on that as we speak however my solicitor in the US only does litigation not enforcement. I have to retain a new solicitor at a cost of 40% of the money he collects.
As I said a legal system designed around screwing as much money from the punter as possible.
Oh well here we go again.

If any of this is true, it's pretty scary such a well know company with such expensive products is taking advantage like some dodgy backyard mechanic.

Check out all the people NRE claim to be associated with!...

Seeing as V8TV is now a proud member of this forum, maybe we can get his two cents? His logo is used above with permission I assume!

I believe you're out of a motor Glen. I meant more if this is a common theme for NRE, rather than the occasional customer that paid, but got nothing in return. Such as yourself. Much more power in numbers. Not only in warning people away from his business, but also with the legal side? becoming a "class action"?

Tried to Get Barry Adams involved, even offered to cover all legal bills if he came in with me however once he heard of the court action he called Tom who gave him some BS and Barry decided to wait, hoping if he didn't upset Tom he would get his engine. He still has no engine.

Who is Barry Adams?

Also, many of those brands (the magazine brands) are under the Source Interlink banner.

Barry Adams is another Aussie robbed blind by Tom. If you look at my earlier post I outlined his situation, well over $65k US, four years and still no engine

If you win the legal case... Does not then the 240k or more get taken out of the side that lost the court case, in which case that would be NRE in which case you do not lose the 240k?

That's how I found stuff to work here where I had problems.

Not always both in the US and here in Australia, you don't always get awarded costs. It depends on the level of conscious culpability in the actions of the party who wronged the other in the eyes of the judge. Costs do tend to get awarded here more than in the US.

Because Tom's lawyer accepted the offer to compromise the day of the trial it negated costs, losses and damages. As I said in my post, this was a strategic play by Toms legal counsel to limit their losses. Should it have gone to trial the jury would have set the losses and damages. And yes we were going for costs.
As I stated Tom/NRE accepted the judgment but I still have $0. Tom still has not paid a cent and I don't believe will

So does that mean your 240k spent, is gone regardless of outcome? - Sorry I'm ignorant on legal terms so you may have answered it.

Don't really know what I'm going to end up with. Even if my recovery lawyer gets the $70k judgment they keep 40% so I may end up with $40k US. I may also get nothing.

I guess this all happened bit by bit...

Had you of known up front it would of been 240,000, I guess you wouldn't of bothered?
