As my first 'classic' car it was a hugely steep learning curve and I'm still eternally grateful.

So the sticker stays. In tribute if nothing else. Cheers.

I still check out US Muscle...but you are right Deano it is very, very quiet compared to a few years ago.

Not sure why other than the increased use of social media to get there car related "hit".

It did seem to be a close group with many people offering good assistance / information.
The passing of Blackout Steve was a significant event for me even though we only actually met a couple of times....I could be wrong but a few other people also became very quiet on this forum after that event.

I agree it's sad that the forum is not visited as much as it use to, im sure Facebook and instagram have taken some of the traffic, but unfortunatley FB shows some one off events and not an entire build like a forum, maybe nobody is building anything.

So to add to the forum, my build is nearing completion.

Hi Chris, absolutely lovin it, couldn't go past the 6 speed manual though, still going about 'styling' but has got the cat back sorted, lowered and cold air intake done, but will be fitting extractors and hi-flow cats, different wheels and other styling mods....I will eventually get back into ol' skool stuff again but enjoying being part of an active mustang group here on the Gold Coast atm.

That looks amazing Philip. I can't recall seeing an Impala with such a clean, contemporary engine bay (but dig the 'old skool' finned valve covers remaining ).

Do you have a separate thread? I agree that the 'heyday' of this site was when the $US was near parity and had numerous builds going on at once and being regularly published, drawing us all in to then have other conversations. Certainly social media takes centre stage for most 'showing off' their rides these days (and is far, FAR more user-friendly than this platform when it comes to sharing images, which I believe to be a big deterrent), but maybe you are right that there are simply fewer builds going on out there since the dollar dropped.

But geez it'd be awesome to see more... your stunning creation included Jim

There is a bit of the build posted here, but like many others hosting and posting pics on the forum has become cumbersome.

Jim, Saw your thread on YB...holy hell is there any part of this you haven't changed ? How can those jets and air bleeds be so wrong? I'm not a fan of 3 circuits. Mine runs so rich and I've just never bothered to stuff with it. I'm swapping to a 1150 2 circuit shortly

Mine's a 2 circuit Chris.

I've dicked with carbs my whole life, but I've never had the issues that I've had with this. Gonna make some more changes today and hopefully get it closer.
