Seal Reconditioner Additive

Anyone here with experience in seal reconditioner additives? My wife's Peugeot had a rear main oil seal leak. Being French it's a real dog to work on, and the thought of pulling the driveshafts, trans is not one I look forward to.

I've yet to check the PCV system to make sure the crankcase isn't being over pressurised, one possible cause. Rather than pull the gearbox, I thought I'd gamble on a seal additive. Any thoughts on brand?

Over the years I've tried various ones with little success however having said that my problem was that the car wasnt driven much which allowed the seals to harden.I'm assuming your wifes Pug is a daily so maybe pick the most common one and roll the dice who knows you might get lucky

Ahhhhh, the Peugot, France's revenge against the world....

Bardahl makes a good seal softener.
