Re Drilling Wheels

I bought a set of wheels. Turns out the front were a Ford PCD. No more Chev ones available for some times as US Mags is changing foundries. They said, at no charge to me, they would re drill them. Opinion seems mixed win this from what I can find, but is this safe or even really legal?

Plenty of dual pattern wheels on the market so shouldn't be an issue if the wheel will take another set of holes.

I know the kind of wheels you mean and I don't think these will work like that. think they will need to close the old holes and re drill using part of the old hole.

I bought Ferd wheels for my GTO, could not find the Holden [ HQ ] pattern, which also fits the GTO.

I had the holes elongated. It was done by a company called Neale Wheels in Sydney, who were authorised by the RTA to do these mods legally.
This was 20 years ago, don't know if the rules have changed...

call Steve at Borderline wheels at Kirra/coolangatta. He can redrill and insert them 4.5 to 4.75 for an acorn lugnut.
