Bumped into a guy who reckons there was a bargain of the century red LC GTR clone there. Immaculate and solds for $25000. Guy from Melbourne drove over that night and took it home. Anyone see it?

Yep, I went.
Didn't get your PM.

Not a bad assortment of gear at the swap meet this year.
I am starting to see a bit more US car parts. Saw a bit of 1st Gen Camaro gear.
It has to be something I am really interested in at the moment for me to part with cash as I will be moving house soon and don't need "unnecessary" items to move.

Yep, my mate was interested.
The bloke reckons he would take $22K
He started I up for us, sounded Ok for a Holden 6.
Not really a streeter with that donk though, a certain visit to the impound yard with the Nitrous bottle in the boot.
Grout filled block was a bit a deal breaker for my mate.

Sure did! First Zippel of the season and it was a Great night for catching up!
Weather gods were a bit fickle, generally really nice but it poured on my way home on South Rd .
At least I had some fun with a dude in Lumpy XE Falcon. It still had the Alloy head badge on the guard but it seemed to have grown a couple of extra cylinders! The Olds left him for dead ( I think he missed a gear lol)

Yeh it was a good night. Left during the halfway stop and just put the car in the garage when it pissed down.

Darren, I had those knobs for you but never saw anyone near your car!

Always loved your Olds Scott. It was awesome cruising down the Port river expressway with a stream of cars.

I got to the end it started to rain on the way home.i found out my wipers work.

Don't know about being hosed lol certainly embarrassed. I don't think anyone expects these things to go like they do but they were the Muscle cars of their day and Olds even won the '59 Daytona in a Super88 a car that looks the same as mine! The bit that surprised me is this was the era of Stock car racing and the Olds won at an average speed of over 135 mph! I wonder what the average Holden could do in 59?

I think the only way a holden would have done 135mph back in 59 would gave been if it was launched out the back of a b52 bomber

LOL!
Would that be the Terminal velocity?
That gives the term 'Old Bomb' and new meaning

Disclaimer;
No Holdens were hurt in this thread

Sorry slow reply on the eve of the Extreme HP cruise, but yup I was there.
Hopefully a few of the regulars will be there this Sat night. Forecast 24 and 0 percent chance of rain
