I was pretty slick with a gun when i was a young bloke Al'.....but that was a long time ago!!
Its got a few spots on it that i might clean up some day but otherwise I'm pretty happy with the result. Surely you're getting close to giving your beast a squirt?

This is the only job I've done in 6 weeks....i hate myself.
Of course 4 weeks in Vietnam and 2 weeks nightshift doesn't help.

It amazes me the little things that manufacturers DONT do to provide that extra quality in a product.
I had to trim out a half round hole to allow one bolt head to face the same way as all the other bolts, WTF??

It wouldn't cost any extra to get those details sorted at the laser cutting stage. Bit slack on their part. Are they your chassis connectors/4 link bar mounts?

Well spotted Nathan, they are the 4 bar cross member and chassis connectors from TCI.
They do make a nice bit of gear but just miss out on the finer details.

Thanks Al, its one of those jobs i've been putting of for months, just have to fix up the chips and painted edges and keep going onto the next job.

I've discovered that i didn't mix my clear coat properly and the flattening agent hasn't mixed enough, hence I've got a slight gloss coat on all my suspension parts, so its fine sand and re-coat with WELL mixed flat clear.
Just have to wait for some warmer days.

I hear what your saying with companies not finishing off gear. The other thing it does sometimes is make you think you've assembled something wrong. It's looking good though Pete.

Thanks Gents, appreciate the encouragement.

Had a productive day today, big step forwards getting the remaining parts painted and the diff in, not fully bolted up but a good start.

The next step is to trial fit the front sub-frame, engine, trans and sheetmetal so i can measure up the manifold & throttle body height. Gotta make sure it fits before we finalise the engine specs.

Looks nice but precariously balanced.
