Asbestos in 80s models ?

Just wondering what are the chances of my 84 Dodge D150 having any asbestos.
Have not shipped it yet and doing all research first.

Truck is auto trans, recently had brakes replaced

Yes highly likely.

The timelines goes like this in the US.

in 1970 The Clean Air act came in. Car Manufacturers started getting impacted around 1973, and that saw a lot of the use of asbestos removed from the manufacturing process. Things like spray on asbestos (think insulation and headlining etc). But it wasn't until the July 1989 Asbestos Ban and Phase-Out Rule (ABPR) that asbestos was basically fully banned.

Up to that point asbestos was still widely used in brake pads, clutches and gaskets.
