Getting back into a Muscle car scene

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well.

Itís been a long time since Iíve been on these forums.

Last couple years Iíve had no car and missed having a project..

After having a good think about it all, Iíve decided to get back into American iron 

I am looking to buy a project car something rough around 10 -12 k and start building it. Yeah I know.. nothing much out there for that coin but I am still looking.

I am planning a full rebuild so I am not worried about putting lots of work into it.

I might get in touch with American used they always had cheap projects available.

I would prefer a pre 68 car, to avoid any Engineers certificates here in Vic.

I do see few 79 firebirds in that price range too ,might consider them too but I would prefer an older car.

Ford galaxie, Ford Fairmont 2 door, old chevyís also.

If anyone has one or knows someone selling a car ,let me know cheers!

66-70 1/2 US Falcons are good value stateside I know they arent muscle cars but as an entry level car they are good value. Even over here they dont go for insane amounts of money unless they are restored to a crazy standard which you dont want anyway. The only real downside is the US specific parts are like hens teeth so go for the most complete and best one you can find for your budget.

There's a few in this search that aren't bad. 56 Buick, AMC Javelin for $8K. They are out there....

I seen a mid 60's Yank Fairlane on the side of the road yesterday, but there wasn't enough room to park and ask about it

Maybe tomorrow

Just got my latest club magazine.

1962 Pontiac Catalina for $22k. Original 389 engine 132775 miles. LHD & claims it is a nice car to drive. Some money spent already.

Sometimes it is better to spend a little more $$$ on a 'better' car because you end up paying less in the long run to get it to the car you want. PM if you want more info.
