Importing a Engine questions.

Getting a new engine built in the States and I'm looking for feedback and advice.
I brought my car in 6 years ago so I do have some idea how it all works.
Looking at maybe using USAtoAUS, they only charge $450 for a engine according to their website, plus GST of course.
Anybody know what they charge to build and supply a shipping crate, also looking at a plastic shipping crate from this mob, anybody use before?

Cheers

Yea, I will, I forgot about them, actually I was in there 18 months ago and was asking them about importing parts, and they said no worries, my mate just lives down the road from them too.

I imported a Pontiac engine which was built by Tin Indian Performance in Ohio.....ahhh about 5 years ago... f$%k... still sitting in the garage :/
should have done the car first

i can probably find out who i used to ship it.. was no hassle at all.
tin Indian organised the road shipping to LA and then i had it picked up and sent to Sydney.

I just paid $400 plus GST for a small block, so the $450 quote from USAtoAUS is fair. Scribner cases are pricey but worth it if you ship regularly, or plan to store for a while; their cylinder head boxes are also good.
