Glass kit USA to Perth

I would like to get a full glass kit for the Camaro from summit but the air freight cost is more than the glass. How would I go about sea freight?
Cheers, Nathan

Do you know that you can buy the same glass here.....the reputable companies here buy from yank land......and the windscreen man i used the other day said theres a guy in sydney that makes glass if i get stuck.....I bought a rear screen off muscle cars in sydney off ebay and it was an exact perfect fit.....have you tried places here.......reputable places here won't sell you glass unless they know
it fits

I use a company called Cheetal Imports who ships from Indy to Melbourne
Summit will usually ship to Indy for free so makes things even easier.
Currently my exhaust is on its way from Summit to Melbourne with Cheetah imports.Originally shipping would have been over $400 but I reckon will cost maybe $150 to me in Canberra.
If your not in a hurry it works out well and a heap cheaper so you can buy more bits

Thanks Allen I hadn't even thought of buying local! Summit price $600 v's $1100 in Aus. Looks like U.S wins! Plus I might orders a couple of front seat frames and a TMI upholstery set as well.
Cheers stretch, how long does sea freight take?

On average its around the 10 week mark. It depends on weather and delays on the docks etc.
I had my exhaust put in the container the first week in Feb so it should be here around the end of the month

Sounds like the way to go then. Can anyone recommend a Perth based sea freight company?

Nathan,
I use Lee @ Import Perfection but talking to her the other day she was saying over 4 months, which is a bit longer than usual out of L.A. ??

I think America West ship out of Portland,Oregan might be bit quicker??

I'm looking at getting a few bulky things soon.

Paul

USA to Perth

We ship out of Portland, Oregon (Just moved up the road to Kelso, Washington) and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Summit usually ship free in the USA (Lower 48). I am not sure if that applies to glass or windscreens due to the size.

We usually get screens from local suppliers (in the USA) so there is no shipping.

Send me a PM and when I get in the office I will look up which warehouse is shipping to Freo next which will give you a timeline for arrival.

Cheers
